Never go for Reliance, they put HELL lot of hidden charges in your bill all of a sudden and they CANNOT provide you detailed usage report being that is a false usage by you. i personally had this situation and heard of many when i went to reliance office.
Never think of taking reliance data card as i am using it and the speed I am getting is 67 kbps hahahahahaha….shame on them……

Don’t ever think of going for TIKONA by an chance, its beeter to be without internet than taking a TIKONA connection.
Their strategy is simple- no connectivity on weekends and holidays, I don’t understand, do they think we ppl are fools to continue with them even when its down for almost 10-15 days in a month….

I am using wired broadband for about 8 years now. I used Tata indicom broadband for 6 years in Kothrud. There were only 2 interuptions in last 6 years because of line cut or stolen wire. It is a ADSL technology put through a telephone cable upto a modem provided by them. The speed was constant at 256 and 384 Kbps and never dropped. I was a happy customer and then I changed to Hathway. Why? My modem had a on/ off switch that failed about 2 years back and I requested tata to change the modem as the button would suddenly pop out and the power to the modem would go off. They never surfaced to change it. I taped it to hold it pressed in and continued for 2 years. In the mean time many requests were made to local technicians too. They would say there are no modems with them. Let us all laugh at this reason, including Ratan tata or Mistri. So finally I changed to Hathway broadband in 2012 end about 6 months back. Hathway uses cable modem and does not help you in configuring a wifi router to use with it. Anyway, they have two grave issues unlke other services.
1. You have to dial into a URL every time on win 7 and win 8. to log in. On XP they say it dials in automatically?. 3 cheers to XP then for this reason.! So, if you have say, ten tabs in your browser that are saved last time before shut off all will open as dead links because you have to log into 203.212.193.60 or 30 depending on how you are confgured, before you can re-open all your previous links. How stupid anything can be. This I am doing for last six months. First open a browser then select the about URL that links you to Hathway server and reopen all my previously open sites once again.
2. Stupidity does not end here. Every twelve hours they switch there servers . So if you are downloading and it is 8 am or 8 pm – your download, however big or small it may be, is lost. start all over again. They teach you patience – that our Indian society need to learn anyway. Now I am going to try You telecom once again, that I had used long back and jettsoned it for Tata Indicom. They are improved tell me my relatives.
Eventually I am going to use BSNL but presently their lines in my area are not healthy enough. Hope you find this useful in making a decision.
Reliance and Airtel are another story all together!!!
I forgot to add, Hathway speeds go down all of sudden on my Unlimited plan, on Saturdays and Sundays to 20 KBPS. otherwise they hover around 50 to 60 kbps on a 600 kpbs -Unlimited download plan. If you have Hathway TV cables flying over your building/residence, Hathway should work if you live with the stupid log in method.
